Dr. DeCarlo has over 35 years of experience providing family dentistry to the greater Fort Myers community. A graduate of Florida State University, Dr. DeCarlo received his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Maryland-Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1971. He then joined the U.S. Air Force, achieving rank of Captain. In 1974, he established a private practice in Fort Myers, Florida.

Highly regarded for his skills in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, he completed advanced training in cosmetic dentistry at the New York University for Advanced Dental Esthetics. He has also received advanced training in cosmetic procedures from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. His professional affiliations include the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. He also held two terms as chairman of the Peer Review Committee, and served as delegate and state media spokesman for the Florida Dental Association.
